Q: How do I become a food or retail vendor?
A: Summerfest food and retail vendor applications typically open in late January or early February every year. These applications can be found on our website. Pelham businesses are eligible for 15% off when they apply early. The final deadline for all applicants is at the end of March. Any applications considered after this are subject to a $100 late fee. Once the application window closes, potential vendors are reviewed and curated by the Pelham Summerfest Working Group.
Q: Can I fly a drone over Pelham Summerfest?
A: Summerfest is a drone-free zone. Operating drones near or over Summerfest, whether for recreational or commercial purposes, is not allowed and may violate multiple Transport Canada regulations.
Q: Can I bring my pet to Pelham Summerfest?
A: Unfortunately, we do not recommend that you bring your pets to Pelham Summerfest. The only exception is for service animals - the hardworking heroes who assist individuals with disabilities. According to the AODA’s Customer Service Standards, one of two conditions must apply for your animal to be considered a service animal: (1) the animal is easily identifiable as relating to your disability (for example, it is a guide dog or other animal wearing a vest or harness) or (2) you can provide documentation from a regulated health professional confirming the animal is required due to a disability. Under the Ontario Human Rights Code and the AODA, service animals do not need to have certificates or identity cards. However, you may be asked to provide acceptable documentation. This includes documentation from a regulated health professional and/or an identification card from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General for people who are blind and use a guide dog.
Q: What will the weather be like on the weekend of Pelham Summerfest?
A: Check the Pelham 14-day forecast for a general idea of the weather.
Q: What if it rains?
A: Pelham Summerfest is a rain or shine event. Only severe inclement weather could rain on our parade, and by severe, we mean a hurricane with a side of tornadoes.
Q: Are there bathrooms at Pelham Summerfest?
A: Yes! There are bathrooms located in Town Hall - 20 Pelham Town Square. These bathrooms will be available until 7:00 PM. Porta potties will be located throughout the festival.
