Kid Zone Expands for Pelham Summerfest 2024

This year, the Kids Zone at Pelham Summerfest is back and better than before! Families can enjoy the expanded Kids Zone for not one but two days! This family-friendly area of the festival in Peace Park features something for all of the event’s youngest visitors to enjoy and will be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Families are invited to break out their capes and costumes on Saturday and Sunday mornings and bring their heroes out for a Superhero Training class. 

“The return of the superhero training class for two days is something we’re particularly excited about for this year’s enhanced kids zone,” said Communications Specialist Leah Letford. “It’s always a great experience to see residents from ages one to 99 to be able to enjoy these free family activities together.”

In addition to superhero training, kids should prepare to be mystified by the Scoop McCoy Magic Show, try their hand at some experiments with Mad Science, or get up close and personal with all things scaly from the Reptile Kingdom.

Families looking for the youngest festival attendees to burn a little bit of energy, can stop by the bounce houses, race down the slide, or play on another one of the many inflatables at the festival with the expanded Kids Zone.

The expanded and enhanced Kids Zone is made possible through the generous donation of Walter and Amy Hiltebrand, along with financial assistance from the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund, a program of the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport, administered by the Ontario Cultural Attractions Fund Corporation.
